ABOUT Me

HOW I STARTED

My STORY

As a California native, I came to France in 2012 for what was supposed to be just a semester. That semester turned into a year, and that year turned into a life. From the moment I arrived, I felt an undeniable connection—I knew I wanted to make France my home.

But wanting it and making it happen were two very different things. I had no idea where to start. The process felt overwhelming, like a far-off dream. Still, I was determined. I’ve stood exactly where you are now—excited, hopeful, and facing a maze of logistics. And even after the plane landed, the real challenges had only just begun. I had to navigate the complexities of a new culture and establish myself from scratch—finding an apartment, bringing my dog over, handling visa appointments, opening a bank account, setting up a phone plan, finding an accountant, launching my business—all in a language and system I didn’t grow up with. I started Chez Moi Alsace so that I could provide the hand-holding services I wish I could have had.

Relearning how to be an adult in a new country is no small feat. I know firsthand how valuable it is to have someone guide you through it. With over 13 years of experience in travel and relocation—and having lived every step of this process myself—I want to be that resource for you. So you can start your new life in France with confidence, clarity, and with an expert by your side.
